The Details
At 32 by 66 inches, this is a long, wide towel, sized to cover a lounge chair or wrap around an adult rather than just dry hands and face. The solid color does a second practical job: a bright towel is easy to tell from white bath stock, so pool towels stay at the pool.
The yarn is ring-spun, which aligns the cotton fibers and twists them firmly so their ends are held inside the yarn instead of fraying at the surface. That makes the loops smoother to the touch and better able to take the abrasion of sand, lounge chairs and frequent washing.
